Aurora Loan Services is currently looking for a Senior Developer-Java

SUMMARY

The Software Engineer*s role is to assist in the design, execution, assessment, and troubleshooting of software programs and applications. This includes configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle.

The individual will be involved in new product development as well as maintaining current software designed to address the needs of a distributed work force. The individual will assist in the creation and maintenance of Java/Flex proprietary software in a Windows/Linux environment.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Working knowledge of the J2EE specifications and inner server workings
Handle implementation of the J2EE environment for a variety of business applications.
Flex/AMF 3.0
Experience designing J2EE environments
Knowledge of UNIX, Linux
J2EE messaging experience (JMS)
Comfortable working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Positive attitude, execution focused
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
Comfortable multitasking and managing priorities
Liaise with administrators, analysts, operations personnel and other software engineers to resolve any defects in products or company systems.
Perform quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years experience developing enterprise applications.
Must have experience with RDBMS (SQL, Oracle or DB2, etc)
Must have J2EE, J2EE EAR/WAR, J2EE JMS
Must have knowledge of open source tools to support development and testing including Struts, Spring, Hibernate 2.1, Log4J, Eclipse
Experience developing Java applications using Maven, Apache Ant 1.6+, Java 1.4+, JavaDoc, JUnit
XML development experience using DTD and XSD. XML development should include use of XML Spy.
Knowledge of industry standards including W3C, Web Services, WSDL
Experience with Application servers and Web services including BEA Weblogic 8.1+ (or similar)
Knowledge and experience using version control systems
Uncompromising standards of quality in building and delivering technology solutions.
