DirecTV - Reporting Developer Specialist/Sr

Provider of satellite entertainment programming to U.S households This position will be located at our Englewood, Colorado office.

As one of the primary producers of enterprise reporting for customer contact centers, the Reporting Developer Specialist takes a lead role developing data models to integrate data from multiple data source systems and provides accurate and timely information required to make both tactical and strategic business decisions on an ad-hoc and on-going basis. This position works independently under the general supervision of the Manager, Customer Care Business Intelligence, and duties include but are not limited to:

Develops reporting models, architectures, frameworks and strategies based on business requirements.
Develops technical solutions to support and streamline data reporting requests requiring integration of data from multiple systems.
Analyzes and trouble-shoots technical issues related to reporting.
Creates clear design concepts, and drafts technical design documents.
Develops and maintains databases, tables, queries, stored procedures, views, and/or applications to support business initiatives or changes in the reporting model.

BA/BS in a technical or quantitative field with three (3) or more years experience in call center operations or comparable industry experience, and three or more years developing numerical and graphical reporting, designing, implementing and managing complex multi-users databases.
Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate well to all levels of management.
Must demonstrate expert level skill and experience writing and developing SQL and have strong experience in database structures.
Must have demonstrated expertise in spreadsheet and database applications with the ability to extract and consolidate data from multiple sources.
Must have excellent computer skills with demonstrable experience and proficiency in relational databases, SQL, Excel, Excel's Pivot tables, Access and MS SQL Reporting.
Must have experience with analytic tools/services, i.e. SAS, Siebel Analytics/OBIEE, Cognos or other Business Intelligence tools.
Must have some experience with VBA and HTML/XML.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proven organizational, analytical, and planning abilities required. Must be detailed oriented and be able to meet deadlines.

Responsible for the monthly close process and the accuracy of the financial statements.
