Title: Windows Production Server Administrator Skills: SQL, Microsoft Windows, MCSE Certification Date: 5-24-2007 Location: Westminster, CO Area code: 720 Tax term: FULLTIME Pay rate: Market Length: PERM Position ID: 1362 Dice ID: 10113162 Job description: Provide support for Corporate IT environment and Wintel-based production systems based in GHX controlled data centers and at customer facilities.


Designs, develops, implements, installs, troubleshoots and enhances Microsoft systems hosting a variety of network support services such as Microsoft Active Directory Services, DNS and various application systems such as MS Exchange 2000, Trend Micro Anti-Virus, and Veritas Netbackup. Analyzes, tests, installs and documents existing systems including hardware and software. Audits current and future, internal and external operating environments. Maintains users and groups, backup systems (including tape rotations), email services, domain services, and system documentation. Monitors all systems and logs daily for all servers required.


Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Microsoft Windows server environment. Must have experience with Win2k Advanced Server, Exchange 2000, Veritas Netbackup, Trend Micro Anti-Virus, Microsoft Active Directory including multiple site setup and configuration, and Microsoft Clusters. Security systems and tools including but not limited to GPO that are applied to Domain, Site, and OU levels. Network services including MS File and Print Sharing, Sendmail, WINS and DNS. Desktop tools including MS Office, Project and Visio. Exposure to Oracle 8i/9i and SQL Server a plus. Set up, configure and troubleshoot systems including IBM, Dell, and Compaq product lines. Install and configure storage system including raid and non-raid SCSI, Backup Tape Libraries and Fiber Channel based storage clusters and SAN fabric(s). Install disks, memory, system cabling/wiring and other components using best practice rack layout and design. Must be conversant with basic TCP/IP principles, and be willing to learn and work on Sun Solaris systems as well.


Position will include some travel, off-hours or weekend work, and will require 24x7 on-call status. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. of computer equipment or components
