RESPONSIBILITIES: An IT Support II technician's role is to solve
client
personal computer problems and handle service requests within the scope

airports. Duties include PC troubleshooting, installing software,
running network cable, and installing hardware such as printers and
disk
drives.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Troubleshoot PC problems in person and over the phone in a
pleasant and helpful manner.


* Systematically troubleshoot to resolve problem to users'
satisfaction. Document steps taken to resolve problem.


* Perform troubleshooting on Frontier equipment at DIA and
other Frontier airports including PC's and printers both over the phone
and in person.


* Troubleshoot user problems as they relate to network
connectivity, both in the office and from remote locations (such as
WAN,
dial-up and VPN).


* Install and configure new PC's. This includes installing
the
operating system and software applications as well as any hardware.


* Responsible for developing and maintaining an asset
management system for tracking all computers installed in Frontier
locations.


* Answer calls on the Help Desk phone and troubleshoot or
create trouble tickets as necessary.


* Work on misc. projects as needed.


* Secure, patch and update systems as needed.


* Maintain level of technical education appropriate for job.

* Carry on-call pager 1 week per month.

* Keep IT area clean, inventory management, ship and track
inventory to out-stations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree, advanced computer science certifications
or equivalent experience.

* Microsoft Certification Professional (MCP) or equivalent
experience.

* 2 Yr experience supporting Windows clients in a networked
environment.

* 2 Yr experience supporting networked printers, especially HP
laser printers.

* 2 Yr experience troubleshooting and fixing PC hardware.

* 2 Yr experience troubleshooting and supporting MS Office
applications, especially MS Outlook.

* Some knowledge of routers, switches and hubs.
