Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Scrum Master is that of Agile process guardian, facilitator, coach, and mentor to project teams. In addition, the Scrum Master has a deep understanding of iterative software development processes and helps to remove impediments that prevent the teams from being successful. The Scrum Master drives continuous process improvement efforts, guarding the team against wasteful or dysfunctional practices.

The ideal candidate has a passion for process clarity and improvements, good command of coaching and facilitation skills, and a true desire to continuously learn more. This role will report to our VP of Product Development.

Responsibilities include:
Act as Scrum master for 3-4 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.
Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos
Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed
Ensure cross-team coordination
Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal
Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
Coach and mentor other scrum masters in our product team. Ensure that our ways of working are consistent across the teams.
Liaise between the developers and User Experience/Visual Designers. Foster better communication between the disciplines.
Act as a project manager when necessary. Take responsibility for managing dependencies between our team and third parties or between our team and other scrum teams.
Strengthen the presence of our team as an Agile center of excellence. Actively contribute to the company’s Agile and Lean Community. Keep the rest of the company network aware of our activities.

Qualifications, Skills & Education:
4 year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
Excellent skills in planning, resource planning and assessment, financial planning and risk assessment.
Deep knowledge of Agile framework and Scrum process/practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong expectation management, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
Strong ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization.
Experience integrating and deploying applications across diverse technical platforms
Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Desired:
5+ years of Software Project Management experience, with an Application Development or Technical Project Management background.
Scrum Alliance, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP); PMI Agile Certified Professional
