This position will primarily fill an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) role and secondarily a SQL Server DBA role. Applications running on Oracle Databases include: Oracle EBusiness Suite R12, Quorum, Flowcal and GIS. The DBA will interact with the Business Analysts and Developers of these applications to resolve any database issues, migrate patches, clone, upgrade, maintain and write technical documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Day-to-day support for Oracle Financials Release R12
· Oracle 11g database administration, maintenance, upgrade, cloning and tuning
· Support the configuration, installation and maintenance of Oracle 11G Databases
· SQL Server Database support
· Unix shell scripting
· Work in conjunction with other IT, application development, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective
· Database backup and disaster recovery procedures
DBA Skills Required:
Experience with Oracle EBS R12 required
Experience with Quorum and Flowcal applications preferred
Understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools
Understanding of the underlying operating system
Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
Knowledge of Oracle security management
Knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources
Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
Solid communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators
Ability to multi-task

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
· At least 5 years in a production support environment with Oracle databases.
· Implementation and migration experience
· Proficient in Unix systems with Shell Scripting
· Extensive DBA experience with Oracle RDBMS (11g).
· Ebusiness Suite R12 experience.
· SQL Server experience a plus
· Knowledgeable in Oracle Database Administration tools, AD tools, cloning, autoconfig, adpatch with maintenance packs and family packs.
· Familiarity with Netapp NAS systems a plus
· AIX and Linux experience a plus.
