this frustration. This modern, web-based library for technical
documentation and parts catalogs gives employees, dealers, distributors and

Documoto supports aftermarket parts sales, ERP integration, and 3D parts
catalogs for OEMs and asset-intensive industries.
*The Role*
We currently are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the development team
responsible for the deployment and highly available distribution of our
software.
The successful candidate for this position will be THE person responsible
for our production platform, and the development and test infrastructure
administration.

*Job Description*
* Support an always-available rack and cloud-based SaaS platform
* Support application deployments, building new systems and upgrading and
patching existing ones.
* Develop automation to quickly and rapidly deploy instances from hardened
images
* Using monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and/or escalate to
development and ensure that we exceed our SLAs
* Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting
developers in debugging application issues using tools
* Participate in the building of tools and processes to support the
infrastructure
* Contribute to the creation of system support documents
* Streamline back-up and disaster-recovery processes
* Leverage scripting to build required automation and tools on an adhoc
basis.
* Operate the platform according to security and privacy best practices.
* Contribute to application scaling and performance architecture.
* Build and manage windows desktop environments
* Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
* A passion for providing excellent service to all internal and external
customers.
*Job Requirements*
* A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience
* Java Application Server administration and tuning experience with TomCat
* Linux administration experience (e.g. RedHat/CentOS) with a focus on web
(Apache)
* Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC,
Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML, SOAP
* Application clustering / load balancing concepts and technologies
* Proficiency with source and revision control systems (e.g. SVN)
* Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Maven, Hudson)
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
*Plusses:*
* Prior experience with Hibernate, Spring desired
* Skills with automation, using scripting and tools like Splunk
* Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios, Tivoli, Wily, BMC)
* Java development experience
