CoBank - Database Administrator

Associate/Database Administrator

At CoBank, our Associate/Database Administrator provides support to multiple application groups using various database technologies, but primarily Oracle and SQL server databases.  In addition, this position provides technical support for databases in development and production environments. The Associate/Database Administrator works on a day-to-day basis with developers and system administrators to design, configure, construct, deploy and support database and data integration processing for CoBank and Farm Credit Leasing.

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or relevant discipline, and 2-6 years database programming using Oracle or SQL server database management systems; or appropriate combination of education and experience. 
•Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris and AIX) and Windows.
•Advanced understanding of the system development lifecycle and associated database administration responsibilities.
•Proficient in writing / diagnosing SQL.
•Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills.
•Availability for off-hours support.
•Occasional travel required.
Preferred Qualifications

•Experience in banking or financial services industry.
•Oracle experience.
