Position Details
 The Cisco Unified Communications Engineer plans, manages, controls and coordinates Cisco Unified Communications systems and services for Jefferson County. This candidate will have the opportunity to work with industry leading technologies such as Cisco Unified Communications, Video and VoWIFI. This position will require the candidate to be able to successfully lead and manage multiple projects and to work effectively with end users. The skills and experience needed to plan, architect and manage all aspects of Cisco Unified Communications is a key factor in candidate selection.

Qualifications
 *Education: AS/BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
* Experience: At least five years experience in the planning, installation and maintenance of systems for a significantly sized organization.
*Certifications Desired: CCVP, CCNA-VOICE, CCIE-VOICE.
*Expert knowledge of Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Unified Presence, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco Emergency Responder and Cisco Meeting Place. Cisco Routing and switching background w/QOS experience. A solid knowledge of wireless networks. Ability to prioritize and work on several tasks simultaneously.  Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of business priorities. Capacity Planning and Unified Communications Management. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users. Expert knowledge of Cisco gateway and VG224 configurations. Expert knowledge of VoIP protocols H323/SCCP/RTP/ QoS/SRST/MGC/SIP. Scripting for Unified Contact Center Express. Knowledge of Cisco Telepresence is a plus.

Systems Administrator - Senior

Position Details
This expert-level System Administrator position is responsible for the planning, selection,
implementation, maintenance, operation and capacity management of computing resources (physical, virtual and cloud) for Jefferson County. This position will have the opportunity to work with industry leading systems that
include virtualization, Blade Systems and storage technologies in both our new Tier II data center and using cloud resources.

Qualifications
Education: BA/BS/MS in computer science, electrical engineering or information technology or equivalent technical training specific to system administration (Prefer Microsoft and *NIX) Experience: At least six years experience in the installation and maintenance of systems for a significantly sized local enterprise. Certifications Desired: Red Hat Linux (RHCE, RHCT), Linux (LPI, NLCE), UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX), Storage (EMC, VMware, Cisco, etc.  Skills, knowledge and experience with enterprise and departmental server-class machines (Intel, IBM, HP), network attached storage devices, data backup services, hardware and system software management, server operating systems (Linux, *IX), email systems, server capacity management. Linux system administration including testing, configuring, installing, troubleshooting, performance monitoring and troubleshooting server hardware and software as well as installation of third party software applications.
