Description:

Software Test Engineer - Automated Testing (Windows Forms)
The Software Test Engineer will work on a team responsible for full lifecycle testing of ZOLL's Windows Forms based applications.  In this role, this individual will help to develop processes and procedures to further the company's capabilities in automated testing and to help to move the company from a manual testing to an automated testing environment.  This person will be responsible for testing all layers of an n-tiered Microsoft based suite of applications.

Duties:

  Read and interpret functional (marketing) and technical (development) specifications and develop comprehensive test plans designed to perform functional and load testing.  Functional testing should include edge and routine cases, data entry error, program logic errors, exceptions, etc.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot automated test scripts using automated test tools to validate the technical and functional integrity of Windows applications.  This will include stored procedures, services, and Windows Forms applications.
Configure test environments including Microsoft servers, MS SQL, and application installations.  Configurations may include medical devices and communications devices such as serial modems, heart monitors, and other devices.
Run and monitor test scripts on test environment.  Interpret the resulting error logs and other output results. Troubleshoot results to determine if the error is an engineering error or an error in the test script and/or database utilizing MS SQL and other data query tools.
Assist with manually testing applications until automated test coverage is adequate.
  Collaborate as a member of a highly functional R&D team to perform testing on multiple applications and move from application team to application team as necessary.
Adhere to professional standards regarding documentation, project management, quality, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience performing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) work in a software development organization.
Ability to read and interpret professional, documented .NET code.
Ability to develop test scripts at a highly proficient level including tools such as C#, QTP, TestComplete, Ranorex, Rational Robot, or CodedUI.
Demonstrated success with full lifecycle Quality Engineering including test plan design and error log troubleshooting.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science highly desirable.

Summary:
The .NET Engineer will participate in developing various quality interface applications that will connect 3rd party software to the RescueNet Suite of ZOLL applications.  The engineer will work through the entire lifecycle and will require in-depth understanding of industry best practices with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

  *  Utilize object oriented design, development, and debugging skills to implement applications that retrieve, transport, and deliver sensitive customer data to a centralized, secure data repository.
  *  Work with individual product teams and review product data dictionaries to develop a comprehensive understanding of the RescueNet enterprise data set.
  *  Work with development team to create custom interface applications to support business intelligence functions.
  *  Adhere to established ZOLL engineering standards with regards to UI development, database access, documentation standards, and development methodology.
  *  Follow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high quality products.
  *  Utilize organizational process control systems.
  *  Collaboratively participate in team meetings as necessary.
  *  Responsible for ensuring that assignments are delivered on schedule and in accordance with ZOLL quality standards.  Responsible for test plans and/or unit testing.
  *  Work directly with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Clients to invent, create, maintain and support custom applications.

Required Skills:

  *  Fluent in Object-Oriented Programming with C#
  *  3+ years of experience in a professional MS SQL/.NET environment  OR Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  *  Strong business acumen - able to understand the business problems that our technology is created to solve
  *  Demonstrated ability to effectively implement .NET database applications
  *  Strong acumen for database design and optimization
  *  Proficiency with XML, T-SQL, and MS-SQL Server

Summary:
The Database Administrator is responsible for supporting SQL Server databases in ZOLL's SaaS environments.  The Database Administrator instrumental in the ZOLL online product releases since he/she will play a big role in strategic planning, architectural design and capacity planning for the database platform, for ZOLL's Hosting services.  Platform is MS SQL/.NET

Job Duties:

  *  Responsible for developing database architecture that supports a high availability SaaS model.  This will include the implementation of fault tolerance and disaster recovery strategies as well as rollback provisions and optimized upgrade and maintenance protocols and procedures.
  *  Drive systems monitoring improvements for applications hosted at off-site data center
  *  Enhance database infrastructure to facilitate high availability
  *  Assist in the development of best practices for management of ePHI data as it relates to HIPAA audits Enhance data center infrastructure to facilitate high availability
  *  Evaluate and redesign database infrastructure to accommodate customer growth and application scalability
  *  Participate in critical incident management and root cause analysis

Required Skills:

  *  5+ years of experience in a professional MS SQL environment, primarily SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition and SQL 2012
  *  5+ years of database management experience.
  *  Previous work with multi-tenant large scale applications that utilize distributed, redundant databases
  *  Ability to apply knowledge of SQL Server Always On technologies to achieve high availability targets
  *  Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and to work well on a team
