Title: Senior Solution Architect
This role is responsible for the strategic planning, high level architecture design, and detailed architecture design of the solutions of TriZetto’s Hosting Services. TriZetto Hosting Services includes application management on behalf of the external customer users accessing the application solutions. This person will work with a team to analyze business requirements, customer requirements, operational requirements, and develop solutions that address immediate needs and future strategic opportunities.
· Ability to assess and plan the development of long-term strategic goals for the enterprise technology solutions and platform in conjunction with IT service owners and IT staff.
· Responsible for the architecture design (both high level and detailed) and engineering of technology characteristics, objectives, and drivers for solutions offered by TriZetto Hosting Services.
· Assist in the architecture design of technology characteristics, objectives, and drivers for TriZetto Hosted Solutions including web based and client/server solutions utilizing SQL, Sybase, Websphere, Java, and/or .NET.
· Lead, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements.
· Assist in the continued development of technical staff and core technologies.
· Assist Platform team in their development of the platform by insuring the solutions platform evolves with the technologies offered by TriZetto.
· Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for responsible areas of the architecture platform based on business strategy, functional, best practices, application solution and detailed designs.
· Lead/participate in organization and client facing architecture initiatives.
· Performs technical assessment/proof of feasibility for new initiatives.
· Act as mentor and coach to members of the team.
· Act in an architectural advisory capacity to implementation and support teams.
· Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Required Skills:
· 5-8 years of Technical Architecture experience.
· Knowledge of SOA Architecture standards.
· Broad experience working in SDLC.
· Experience with software on various Linux flavors, OS standards, performance metrics, and database operations.
· Strong Architecture design background in datacenter and infrastructure management.
· Excellent knowledge of Security in all aspects of IT including skills in SAS 70, HIPPA, etc.
· Architecture design of multi-tiered service approaches.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including creating detailed designs in Visio and Word.
· Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP/ DNS/WINS LAN/WAN).
· Excellent communication skills, organizational capabilities, and comprehension capabilities.
· Self motivated and directed with keen attention to detail with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
· Strong technical documentation skills.
· College diploma or university degree.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with Software Design.
· Hands on experience building and installing solutions and conducing Proof of Concept testing.
· Strong Architecture design background in Microsoft Windows, DNS, and Active Directory technologies.
· Architecture design skills in web-based application delivery and user/service portals.
· Architecture design skills in Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and Remote Desktop technologies.
· Architecture design skills in VMware virtualization, vSphere ESXi, vCenter, Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Director, and orchestrations/automation.
· Architecture design skills in UNIX/AIX.
· Architecture design skills with IBM Power hardware.
· Architecture design skills in Sybase, Oracle, and MS SQL technologies.
· Architecture design skills in systems management with HP OpenView, HP BSA, and various other technologies as related to configuration, provisioning, performance, and problem management.
· Architecture design skills in orchestration & automation including scripting, CLI, and imaging approaches.
· Architecture design skills in storage management in enterprise SAN/NAS environments, especially storage vendors including EMC, NetApp, and Isilon using various protocols with experience in FC, FCoE, iSCSI, & file-based.
· Strong knowledge of enterprise backup software, networking, and security controls with architecture techniques and methods.
· Architecture design of multi-tiered service oriented environments in a hosting, cloud, or SaaS offerings.
· Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes and procedures.
· College diploma or university degree in a related field.
