RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, execute, analyze, and maintain test plans, test cases and
test scripts implementing proven quality assurance practices

Utilize automated software test tools as available with an emphasis

Work closely with software and quality assurance engineers, product
support and customer support personnel in the resolution of any
assigned task.
Assess and estimate test requirements based on use case or other
requirement documentation.
Generate test reports including results of testing and product
stability, including recommendations concerning release of product.
Effectively participate in project meetings, clearly articulating
project risk and provide concise recommendations to development and
product management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Must have the following Experience:

Must have experience in the Operating System installation and
configuration of Windows 2000, XP, 2000 Family and 2003 Family of
Servers. (MS Server Admin type experience)
Must have experience in the configuration of Active Directory, DHCP,
DNS, Domain Controllers, Terminal Servers, and Exchange Server with
Outlook and Other email clients.
Must have comprehensive understanding of the Windows Registry.
Must have experience in ODBC driver installation/troubleshooting in
Windows.
Must have experience in creating and executing black box tests of
Windows based applications to include Dynamic Link Libraries.
Knowledge of PC Hardware to include the ability to swap or add
hardware as required.
Must have comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols
including port usage, network hardware including firewalls, routers,
switches, hugs and physical transport mediums, and network
architectures.
A Strong technical understanding of Databases (Postgres, MySQL,
Oracle) with a proven ability to create and execute SQL statements.
3 or more years working in a Linux/UNIX environment (RedHat
preferred). Strong understanding of file systems, system monitoring,
installations using make and RPM Management.

Position Description:

Seeking an Installation Engineer for TouchStar Software's Professional
Services Organization.

Job Duties:

Willingness to travel on short notice across the country -
approximately
50-75% travel.
Interface with customers at beginning of implementation phase to set
expectations and communicate the schedule and order in which the
implementation will take place.
Stage telephony, SQL, and other servers in racks in accordance with
customer's directions.
Help turn up T1 lines through a collaborated effort with customer's
telephone company.
Install and configure necessary software/hardware as described by the
SOW (statement of work)
Train customer/agents/supervisors/managers on the functionality and use
of the TouchStar suite of products.
Remain on-site to resolve any problems that arise during initial use of
product and to assure full customer satisfaction and understanding of
the solution implemented.
Ability to communicate complex situations and status to home office.



Skills required:

1-2 years IPPBX and VOIP experience

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows software conventions

Advanced knowledge of server operating systems

2 years database experience in Microsoft SQL server

Understanding of networks and networking (LAN/WAN)

Understanding of telephony, T1 technology, PBX



Knowledge of Unix (or flavors of)
Knowledge of Asterisk PBX

One year minimum employment providing customer service
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent telephone skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Willingness and desire to learn advanced customer service skills
Willingness and desire to learn advanced technical knowledge
Advanced writing skills
1-2 years system/network administration experience
Understanding of server client software applications
Project management and excellent organizational skills

Summary
Monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to
safeguard internal information systems and databases. Researches,
recommends, and implements changes to enhance systems security.

· Conducts risk assessments and vulnerability analysis of
networks and systems.

· Responsible for conducting computer forensic
investigations.

· Responsible for monitoring security alerts and
vulnerabilities.

· Designs and implements security solutions for computing
environments.

· Researches, evaluates, tests, configures, maintains and
supports products and services for the current and future
infrastructure.

· Complies with the letter and spirit of the Intrado
Policies.

Education & Experience
· Typically requires four to five years of systems
administration experience with multiple operating systems and one to

· In depth understanding of networked or distributed
computing environment concepts; for example: ability to use the
route command, add a workstation to a network and mount remote file
systems.

· Ability to write scripts in some administrative language
(Tk, Perl, vi, a shell).
