Great-West Financial - Software Support

Under general supervision, the candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and support of multiple Contact Center software technology products, including but not limited to, Avaya Voice Portal, Speech Recognition, Text-To-Speech, CTI connectors and adapters, Verint Work Force Management, Avaya Work Force Optimization, Call Accounting, etc.

The candidate must have good understanding of Avaya VoIP telephony systems and architecture in order to troubleshoot and/or assist with technical issues. The candidate will participate in meetings to provide Subject Matter Expertise in these technologies, including researching and recommending solutions that adhere to the company's architecture standards defined by the Architecture team. The candidate may be involved in developing and maintaining ETL (Extract Transform and Load) processes to gather data from the supported systems and/or databases and expose them for other area's consumption. In addition, the candidate may be required to develop interfaces to provide integration between various telephony technologies, if a vendor solution is not available.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain and provide support for Avaya Voice Portal and related technologies, including Nuance Speech products, Dialog Designer, and CTI & Avaya IC Connectors. In addition, the candidate is responsible for coordinating service and support requests with respective vendors, when applicable. Install, maintain, support and coordinate vendor support of customer-facing products, like CTI/IC and other supported desktop clients used by contact center agents.
Provide SME (Subject Matter Expertise) on Voice Portal and related technology, including assisting developers troubleshoot issues, programming techniques, product integration, and developing system requirements for product integration or new functionality associated with these products.
Develop, document, and implement support guidelines and troubleshooting guides to assist operations team with day-to-day support activities. This includes developing and/or installing monitoring tools that can pro-actively identify potential or real issues and generate alerts/notification to the appropriate support groups. It also includes providing training and/or on-demand presentations to explain how the product works or how solution was implemented.
Work with the Architecture team to establish standards and guidelines for integration of supported products, including using these artifacts to make decision on future product purchase decisions. This also includes working with Architecture team to design, document and implement solutions for business resumption and disaster recovery scenarios.
Document, update and maintain architecture/infrastructure diagrams, including integration and interfacing points, configurations, and identifying high-availability features and single points of failure of the architecture.
Design, develop, implement and maintain "home-grown" solutions to support the needs of internal customers, specifically when a vendor solution is not available or feasible. Samples of these tools would be to develop Dialog Designer application to help test CTI Desktop Clients; develop tools to empower operation and/or other team to execute functions in a controlled environment; develop ETL process to expose system data to internal customers, like CMS data for long term reporting; etc.
Provide Tier 3 support in a 7x24 environment, including problem management, documenting in detail the cause and resolution of problems, using the Remedy system and updating troubleshooting guides.
Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to ensure the proper operation of the Great-West Financial Contact Center environment.
Position requires after hours availability for sporadic rotational on-call support and occasional weekend/after hours work.
Background and Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Telecommunications or Computer Science preferred) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
5-10 years of relevant work experience and equivalent combination of training and experience.

The University of Colorado Denver seeks a Senior Linux Architect to work in the Information Technology Services Department at the Denver Campus or the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.

This position exists to support the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus community by providing Information Technology with senior level authority and consultation, architectural expertise, design strategy, systems and system support, develop processes rules and guidelines, standards and training in the areas of Linux/Unix support and datacenter administration as the senior level contributor for these systems and will directly influence management decisions. Responsibilities:

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Serve as Senior Level Linux Architect for Campus Wide system needs to include multiple campuses (i.e. UCD, UCB, UIS,UCCS) where applicable

• Serve as a team lead for the IT Services Linux/Unix team and will also cross train in other key environment within UC Denver, including Windows Server and Enterprise Computing systems
• Provide senior level architectural expertise, experience, training and knowledge in the administration and maintenance of all UC Denver Linux RHEL systems to ensure the health and stability of the campus wide computing systems
• Perform installations, set security parameters, monitor, manage, maintain and retire both physical and virtual Linux or RedHat Enterprise Operating Systems

DIRECTV - SQL Server Database Administrator

As our SQL Server Database Administrator you will be responsible for enterprise-wide database management and administration. Responsibilities include maintaining highly available database environments, achieving optimal performance and ensuring database backup and recovery.

A successful SQL Server database administrator must possess knowledge in managing large scale database environments with experience in server, network, storage, virtualization, data center automation and infrastructure technologies. Our current Database environment consists of 300+ Oracle databases, and 120+ SQL Server databases set up in about 100 cluster arranged servers.  You will also need to have good knowledge in advanced database technologies such as database replication, data encryption, data synchronization, database flashback, database HA and database recovery.

Database Administrator (Oracle)

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for providing 24x7 on-call support in a very dynamic environment with mission critical applications.  This individual will interface with support, application, development, network, and storage teams and will be responsible for resolving application issues, troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and resolving infrastructure issues.  The DBA will consult with application teams as needed on architecture, code deployment, tuning, and best practices.  The DBA will provide input and will assist with the architecture, implementation, and failover support of high availability and disaster recovery plans.  This person will plan, coordinate, test, and install product upgrades and patches and will assist with deployments, database monitoring, and improving the availability and performance of databases

-    Hands-on experience creating site maps, process flows and wireframes for high traffic consumer sites
-    Ability to communicate effectively in visual, written and interactive form: design documents, flow charts, prototypes, etc.
-    Desire to deal with business issues, thinking beyond design
-    Ability to articulate strategic issues while balancing these with user needs and technological constraints
-    Experience working in small collaborative teams, including working constructively with development teams
