Pulte Mortgage is
seeking a Business System Analyst to join our team! This position is
based at our corporate office in Englewood, CO.
Job Summary
The
Business System Analyst role creates and implements business-critical
software applications. This is an exciting opportunity to apply strong
functional and technical skills in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
This
position interacts with business executives, management, end users,
programmers, and testers to detail the solution and trouble-shoot
issues. The Business System Analyst works throughout the system life
cycle, from initial concept through deployment support, on both
strategic applications and enhancement requests. The Business System
Analyst serves as the conduit between the business community and the
development organization ensuring business needs are met.
Responsibilities
* Define the vision of a strategic project to meet the business
needs. Document the as-is and to-be processes and identify the business
benefits to be realized from the project.
* Collaborate with
technical and functional architects to define solutions that adhere to
architecture standards and technology roadmap.
* Elicit
requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements
workshops, surveys, business process analysis, use cases, scenarios,
regulatory reviews, competitive product analysis, job shadowing, and
workflow analysis.
* Create requirements packages that clearly
convey functionality. Use standard text templates, using simple, natural
language. Other tools include activity diagrams, use cases, tables,
work flows, BPMN. Requirements must have exceptional level of detail and
understanding of both business and technical aspects.

Facilitate effective envisioning and requirements gathering sessions
with executives, business SMEs, managers, and enterprise architects.
* Define system enhancements by researching as-is functionality and
processes to understand the root business problem. Evaluate system and
process options to resolve business problems.
* Lead effective requirement reviews with developers, testers, and architects.
* Partner with project management to define project schedules,
anticipate & resolve issues, manage scope, assist with user
adoption, and define benefits realization.
* Review training materials and operating procedures.
* Provide functional production issue resolution support and training.
* Maintain and grow baseline functional requirements library.
* Meet deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
* Work effectively under broad direction with minimal supervision.
* Work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels.
Background and Experience
* 5+ years Business System Analysis experience, with focus on
functional system requirements for software applications. Functional
requirements in the form of textual business and functional statements,
user stories, use cases, swimlane diagrams, activity diagrams, Business
Process Model Notation (BPMN).
* 5+ years IT experience with
structured software development lifecycle (waterfall and agile) in
complex integrated environments, such as service oriented architectures
which is governed by architecture standards.
* Advanced skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint.
* 3+ years working in OOAD and structured design principles.
* 3+ years with HTML/xHTML,SQL, XML for data analysis and research.
* 3+ years working with .NET and SQL developers.
* Prefer 3+ years financial or mortgage industry experience.
* Prefer experience with Human Factors / Usability.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Self-starter, with strong time management.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or Business Administration
