thePlatform is hiring a Mid-Level Java Developer for our core engineering team that will be working onsite at our parent company Comcast's Denver (Lodo) office.
thePlatform (http://www.thePlatform.com) a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast, helps some of the world's largest media companies manage and publish their video content online. Some of our customers include SyFy, Fox Sports Network, NBC Sports, National Geographic, Comcast, the Travel Channel, Oxygen and more.
We build highly available REST-based services and web applications using Java technologies. We practice Agile methodologies, plan rational schedules, and our cross-functional teams build strong, collaborative relationships as partners in the delivery of quality solutions.
Desired Skills
4-7 years of solid Java programming experience including common design patterns, data structures and object-oriented principles.
Software testing skills - TestNG or Junit a plus
Solid experience with server-side Java development, and understanding of SOA and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with technologies such as Dependency Injection (Spring), ORM (JPA, Hibernate), multithreading, Apache Maven.
Experience with RESTful services and knowledge of common messaging technologies (XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.)
