Arapahoe County Government - Data Management

The Information Technology Department at Arapahoe County (ACG) is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst. The Senior Data Management Analyst position is responsible for the County's data. This position manages the current farm of relational databases. The position will also be responsible for analyzing the need for, then architecting data warehouses and data marts where needed. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the vast variety of data the County stores, and will be expected to organize and present it in a meaningful manner, solutions for our internal departments.

We are seeking someone who has strong MS SQL Server DBA skills (particularly with MS SQL Server) with excellent knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) to enable them to create the necessary presentations to satisfy the County's various business operations and decisions. The BI functions would include data reporting, online analytical processing, analytics, data mining, process mining, complex event processing, business performance management, bench-marking, text mining and predictive analytics.

This position requires the skills to architect our data structure needs, including optimizing performance and data availability. Currently the County does not leverage data warehousing or data marts. We are looking for someone who can analyze the types of data we have and architect data warehouse or data marts if those technologies can bring value to our customers.

Our desired candidate will also have a strong desire and talent in mentoring others in these skills. Our Senior Data Management Analyst will feel comfortable collaborating with peers, management and stakeholders on deriving courses of action. We need someone with the ability and experience for critically analyzing potential and/or existing system strengths and weaknesses and presenting these findings to high level stakeholders with recommendations for selection and course of action. Our anticipated hiring range is $2,711.89 to $3,611.50 biweekly ($70,509.14 to $93,899.00 annually).
