Janus - SharePoint Developer

ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for development and maintenance of company intranet/extranet presence based on the SharePoint platform. Works closely with team members and business partners to identify and understand opportunities for improved information sharing across the organization and crafts innovative solutions to meet business needs. Responsible for SharePoint platform architecture and technology lifecycle, supports ongoing platform operations, and ensures the highest levels of service availability for end-users. Provides excellent customer service while addressing a wide variety of business needs in a client focused environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  *  Works closely with business partners and technology personnel to understand requirements and translate those to timely and effective solutions based on appropriate technologies
  *  Responsible for developing business solutions and support for the Janus Intranet Portal, Department sites, and the Janus Extranet
  *  Improve collaboration around and the management of unstructured information by applying enterprise content management, information architecture and records management principles to the SharePoint environment
  *  Support external integrations into SharePoint for the purpose of using SharePoint as a source of record for key company information assets
  *  Participates in the MyJanus (Intranet) Governance Committee, helping set strategic direction for use of the platform within the corporation
  *  Technical lead for platform major and minor version upgrades, with responsibility for conducting content migrations and reorganizations as appropriate
  *  Responsible for defining and recommending SharePoint platform architecture by addressing key concerns such high availability, capacity, performance, and maintainability
  *  Manage farm configuration and platform services to include Search, Managed Metadata, Business Connectivity and Office Online
  *  Support and administer multiple SharePoint environments including development, staging, and production
  *  Defines and maintains operational procedures for management of SharePoint platform services
  *  Provides direct and indirect technical expertise and direction when needed for support of Janus employees using SharePoint and related technologies
  *  Participates in projects for task/activity planning and definition with other IT personnel or business areas as a technical resource by providing feedback or input to the project tasks and timelines

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  *  Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing SharePoint 2013 based solutions using out of the box capabilities
  *  Demonstrated experience in the use of Master Pages, Content Types, Site Columns, HTML, CSS, and 3rd party web parts
  *  Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2013 platform as deployed in an on premise environment
  *  Experience in Nintex workflow technologies a plus
  *  Experience with Metalogix Content Matrix and Metalogix ControlPoint a plus
  *  Experience with enterprise social media and multimedia technologies a plus
  *  Ability to understand the long-term and short-term implications of technology decisions
  *  Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems
  *  Ability to successfully multi-task across multiple work streams
  *  Excellent listening skills with a client focused approach
  *  Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on collaborative problem solving
  *  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
