In the role of Database Developer/DBA you will be responsible for the data warehouse for CORHIO.

CORHIO is an organization whose mission is to facilitate health information exchange to improve the care of all Coloradans. Created in 2007, CORHIO serves everyone including consumers, employers, doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, home health agencies, health plans and local health information exchanges that are interested in improving the health of all Coloradans through the use of health information technology.

CORHIO accomplishes this through two main activities: 1) convening/collaborating within and among communities in Colorado and 2) providing secure/confidential technical services in communities. CORHIO receives generous financial support from The Colorado Health Foundation, the State of Colorado, and US Government ARRA funding in the short term. Over the longer term, CORHIO is developing a sustainability model based on fees for services provided. Former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. designated CORHIO as the AARA Qualified State-Designated entity for Health Information Exchange.

Position Overview:

The Database Developer/DBA will be responsible for the developing, managing and maintaining the data warehouse for CORHIO.  The role will ensure that data is available for use in a variety of ways for the health information exchange. In addition, as part of the Innovation Team at CORHIO, this position will contribute input on new technology opportunities.  The Database Developer/DBA will report to the Innovation Development Director and interact with other CORHIO teams.

Responsibilities:

* Data warehouse design including creating clinical data marts to be used as a source for clinical reports.
* Create integration packages and ETL jobs to facilitate the ingest  and delivery of clinical and non-clinical data from source to destination systems.
* Create complex SQL statements in order to retrieve data, insert data and modify data in an efficient manner.
* Analyze and provide feedback on existing internal and external data driven solutions.
* Design storage indexes and tables to facilitate simple and complex data driven applications.
* Day-to-day maintenance and administration of SQL server environments including user administration, back-up and recovery, and performance monitoring.

Skills/Qualifications:

* Mid to senior level experience with database technologies
* Healthcare experience helpful
* Data Modeling experience with industry best practices
* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SSRS or similar software
* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SSIS or similar software
* Experience with installing, maintaining and developing Microsoft SQL server 2008/2012/2014 Standard and Enterprise
* Competency with T-SQL, CLR and XP command  as well as stored procedures and functions
* Competency with data table partitioning and storage strategies for data in an RDBMS
* Understanding of Microsoft Windows server 2008/2012

Work Environment:

* Typical office setting; the CORHIO office is in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, near the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and Cherry Creek Drive South.  Opportunities to work from home part-time are available.

Total Compensation:
CORHIO offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Using a CORHIO provided annual cafeteria plan allowance, employees may elect from various benefit offerings and tailor a package to best suit their individual needs. CORHIO employees are eligible to participate in the organization's 403(b) plan and are additionally provided with paid time off, short and long term disability and life insurance.  Note: No relocation monies are available.
