EchoStar - Global Logistics Compliance Analyst

ECHOSTAR is hiring a Global Logistics Compliance Analyst, who will development and execution of the Company’s global compliance logistics and transportation strategies, processes and enablers. This person will serve as an integral part of the logistics team.

This position has responsibility for the development and execution of the Company’s global compliance logistics and transportation strategies, processes and enablers.  Responsibilities include setting the strategy for all areas of logistics and transportation projects that support and meet the Company’s strategy and performance objectives, and customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities

·         Develop, document and execute a comprehensive global compliance strategic plan which will drive profitability and exceptional customer service

·         Manage and optimize a global supply chain logistics compliance network

·         Manage the organization’s spend in the areas of logistics compliance

·         Work with cross business unit teams, taking a lead role in negotiating key logistical compliance contracts

·         Working closely with all internal and external warehouse resources; develop and implement inventory management optimization plans

·         Lead the development and implementation of Global logistical Compliance Standard Operating Procedures used by each logistics professional globally

·         Manage trade compliance activities to meet all requirements and the development and implementation of appropriate metrics and business reporting processes

·         Utilize continuous improvement strategies and ensure Global Logistics compliance policies are aligned with the company's overall business plan

·         Drive Compliance operational excellence and best practices across the organization working with existing logistical providers.

·         Primary back up for Global Logistics Manager

·         Drive Global Compliance during Logistical workshops with providers

Skills and Qualifications Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

·         Logistics & Transportation Degree desired

·         7-10 years in Global Customs Compliance experience is required

·         Highly experienced in logistics spend management/cost controls for compliance 

·         Licensed US Customs Broker

·         Prior CTPAT certification project experience

·         Experience working with compliance and regulatory projects globally

·         Knowledge of and prior experience with FCC, EAR, ITAR, BSMI, and specific Global Trade agreements like NAFTA, MERCOSUR, ASEAN PAC nations

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office Software-Word, Excel

·         Oracle proficiency is desired

·         Detail oriented for concise reporting and evaluation of suppliers, providers, customers’ needs

·         A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others

·         Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; credible with internal stakeholders and external audiences, e.g., suppliers; comfortable meeting with/presenting to executives and senior management

·         Comprehension of impacts in financial, physical and IT flows across a supply chain network

·         Possesses strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills; proven ability to identify and capture savings opportunities

·         Project management skills

·         Lean Sigma skills desired
