Nurse Family Partnership - Data Quality Analyst

Position Description
The primary purpose of the Data Quality Analyst is to work collaboratively and in partnership with other departments to promote quality assurance, analytics, reporting, evaluation and quality improvement, with the goal of measuring and ensuring the quality implementation of the NFP program. This position is responsible for data management for the NFP National Service Office.

This position is based in the NFP National Service Office in Denver, Colorado.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the planning and implementation of data management activities
Maintain and safeguard paper data files and electronic data systems
Coordinate and participate in quality assurance activities
Assist in the design and testing of data entry programs
Ensure that data in the data warehouse is clean:
Coordinate data cleaning efforts in the data warehouse, including problem data and logic checks
Collaborate with IT related to data integrity and the data warehouse
Recommend procedures to maintain data validation at input
Create and maintain documentation on data processing and organization
Help develop requirements, participate in database design, and write complex stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server databases and/or SAS datasets
Write complex database queries and import and export data as necessary
Analyze and resolve application and data-related problems as required, ensuring the integrity, availability, and continued use of the mission critical applications and databases
Provide the second level of technical support for applications and coordinate the resolution of application and database problems with the Technical Support staff and the Information Technology department
Create technical documents
Create and maintain documentation on data processing and organization
Ability to present data effectively to internal and external stakeholders with appropriate messaging based on context
Embrace customer service by listening, supporting, and following through with assignments with quality and efficiency
Communicate difficult and/or sensitive information tactfully
Exhibit sensitivity, openness, and a spirit of inquiry into other world views and cultural orientations; support department and organizational strategies, policies, practices and processes which foster an inclusive environment and build cultural awareness

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with large-scale relational databases, adherence to strict guidelines or protocols
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with MS  SQL, writing stored procedures and complex queries
Minimum of 3 years development experience in SSIS
Familiarity with HIPAA requirements
Experience with data integrity and data cleaning
Strong knowledge of databases, data structures and data queries
Familiarity with MS Windows and Office
Excellent customer service and communication skills with both internal and external customers
Strong attention to detail
Ability to be innovative and creative in solving problems and working logically
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
Understanding and knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
Ability to work independently and manage certain tasks with minimal supervision
