Digabit - JavaScript Web App Developer

You will support the continuing development and expansion of Digabit’s Documoto™ software, an all-in-one authoring tool, web document repository, and eCommerce solution for equipment manufacturers and their customers. You’ll design and code interfaces that provide exceptional user experience and incorporate functional elements related to electronic publishing, eCommerce and search.

You will work within a state-of-the-art infrastructure that includes the following technology stack:  Java, JavaScript (and frameworks), MySQL, Solr, HTML5, Flex, and Linux. You’ll work as part of a collaborative group in an Agile development environment.

  *  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  *  5+ years designing intuitive, easy-to-use user experiences
  *  Solid understanding of web application architecture, object-oriented software, and design patterns
  *  5+ years experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS3 and responsive design
  *  Experience developing client-side web applications using frameworks, which can include the following:
    *  EmberJS (preferred)
    *  Backbone
    *  Angular
  *  2+ years using RESTful and SOAP web services
  *  Experience with SVN
  *  Working knowledge of relational databases MySQL, Oracle, or equivalent
  *  Work experience developing on Linux/Unix and Win environment
  *  Experience with eCommerce (credit card processing, tax, shipping) preferred
  *  Past experience with Flex and Java a plus
  *  Experience with multi-threaded Java application development and the concurrency package APIs
  *  Understanding of SVG files and other vector-based image formats
  *  Experience with unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration

Comcast - Program Manager

thePlatform is hiring a Technical Program Manager / Architect for our core engineering team that will be working onsite at our parent company Comcast's Denver office in Lodo. The Technical Program Manager / Architect will work with our product development and cloud computing groups as technical product owner.

This position requires a strong technical solutions background as well as several years of software development experience. We are looking for candidates that have a proven ability to design solutions based on a service-oriented architecture, can drive design across multiple teams, and thrive in a strong, collaborative relationship between program managers, developers, and QA engineers as partners in the delivery of quality services. In this role you will be working closely with various operations groups to help expand our cloud computing offerings.

Responsibilities:
  *  As a technical product owner, work with development and operations teams to establish overall product vision, create user stories, manage and prioritize the product backlog, participate in daily scrums and meta-scrums, and validate delivered software designs.
  *  Gather product requirements from customers and other stakeholders.
  *  Write specifications for thePlatform's software. TPM's are very hands on as far as writing specs using software design patterns and working with internal development team.
  *  Work with project manager and development team to create and maintain product roadmap, track schedule against the roadmap, and escalate risks and issues.
  *  Maintain communication with stakeholders, including professional services, development teams, marketing, upper management, and external customers.
  *  Help create and review technical documentation and transition finished projects to the support and deployment teams.
  *  Assist sales and marketing to ensure successful customer adoption

Requirements:
  *  At least 5 years technical solutions experience in a software product development environment including direct experience in operational cloud computing.
  *  Proven design experience with SOA, design patterns and web service technologies.
  *  At least 3 years of software experience at an engineering level. Proficiency in Java a plus.
  *  Proven experience as a technical leader. Demonstrated ability to lead the design and development of complex applications.
  *  Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of projects from inception to rollout and maintenance.
  *  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  *  Ability and confidence to work closely with select customers in pre-sales and collaborative scenarios.
  *  A BS degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  *  Knowledge of video encoding and video delivery is a plus but not required.

CoBank - Senior Software Engineer

At CoBank, our Senior Software Engineer – BI ETL analyzes, designs, develops, configures, tests and implements changes to new and existing custom and third party Business Intelligence applications at CoBank.  This position provides business hours and after hours support for applications already in production and provides technical direction and guidance to less experienced technical staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or relevant discipline and 6 – 10 years’ experience; or appropriate combination of education and experience.  Advanced experience in ETL tools (e.g. Informatica) both as a developer and an administrator, including installation, upgrades, and security maintenance within the tool. Advanced experience in relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server) and multi-dimensional databases (e.g. Cognos PowerPlay cubes). Intermediate knowledge of Windows batch and/or UNIX shell scripting. Intermediate knowledge in at least one system design/development methodology (RUP, SDLC, BIM, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in banking or financial services industry. Intermediate knowledge of Source Code Control tools such as PVCS, Visual Source Safe, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Intermediate knowledge of automated job scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys and Unix. Intermediate experience with one or more Business Intelligence reporting tools (e.g. Cognos). Familiarity with installation and support of Hyperion Shared Services, Essbase, HFM, and Reports.
