Summary

This position has responsibilities for month end close, consolidations, financial statement preparation and balance sheet reconciliations. Activities for this role include preparing monthly journal entries, consolidating numerous domestic and international subsidiaries under US GAAP, providing monthly/quarterly variance analysis and analytical support on both the balance sheet accounts and income statement accounts. It will interface with business finance, tax, SEC reporting, internal and external auditors, and individuals at multiple levels in the organization. Strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills are essential. Telecom experience is preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties

* Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements.

* Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting/operational systems: Journal Entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.

* Miscellaneous projects and information requests..

* Reviews and approves transactions, posts entries, collects and evaluates data, conducts analysis, and prepares reports and recommendations

* Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.



Education and Experience


* Experience: 5 yrs

* Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

* Field Of Study: Accounting

* A combination of education and experience is acceptable: Yes

* Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.

* Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

CPA and IFRS experience a plus.

Strong Accounting skills and Excel skills, deadline-focused with the ability to understand financial statement relationships, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and self-motivated and ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

Software Applications: Oracle Financials, Hyperion Essbase & Blackline. SQL a plus.

Work Environment

* Government Security Required: No

Sits five to seven hours per day. Stands and or walks one to three hours per day. May bend, reach, stoop and crouch throughout the day.
