Software Engineer II (S&P Cap IQ) in Centennial Colorado United States
Job Description:
S&P Capital IQ is seeking a Software Engineer to be responsible for
collaborating with the development and operations teams on software
builds and deployments.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate on new software builds and run the build process
* Deploy new software builds into TEST, QA and Production environments
* Develop automation and enhancements to the build process that adds
efficiency
* Develop expert knowledge of the continuous integration (build)
lifecycle
* Be an instrumental part of a growing engineering team that will focus
on continuous integration and automated software deployment
* Collaborate on innovation around automation of software builds,
automated unit testing and deployments.
* Production deployments are always performed after business hours and
over weekends therefore it is expected that this position is made
available outside of normal business hours as needed
Qualifications:
* Technical degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
business degree and a minimum of 4 years professional technology
experience is required.
* 2y Windows Server administration experience
* 2y IIS7 administration experience
* 1y experience with NAnt/bat/powershell/appcmd scripting
* Working knowledge of Subversion code repository system
* Experience using MSBuild to compile and combine .NET assemblies
* Experience with Continuous Integration toolsets, CruiseControl,
Jenkins/Hudson
* Experience digging into unfamiliar C# & VB code to troubleshoot issues
is a plus
* Knowledge of .NET and object oriented programming best practices is a
plus
* Comfortable with SQL, SQL Server Profiler, debugging stored procs,
views, functions is a plus
* Familiar with server deployment applications (Dell-™s KBox, Blade
logic or similar) is a plus
* Experience working in the financial industry is a plus
