PaySimple is looking for a Technical Support Specialist with a passion for IT to join our growing team and contribute to the success and evolution of our payment solution application. In this role, you will be responsible for all internal customer IT support, ensuring proper functioning of laptops, desktops, and the internal infrastructure. You will work with our network administrator to set up and maintain the office environment.
Responsibilities
Ø Support and maintenance of all telephone, laptop, desktop and office software systems
Ø Maintain and support printers, faxes, and all office equipment
Ø Troubleshoot computer problems
Ø Diagnosis and resolution of network operating problems with technical assistance from vendors, common carriers, and technical IT management/network administrator
Ø Support network administrator in the analysis of the performance of the data communication network, including usage and load patterns and system response times using SNMP, etc.
Ø Monitoring of the security systems and maintain optimum security features throughout all computer systems
Ø Work with the network administrator on a multiple of projects, such as PCI audits and system monitoring
Ø Provide computer and telephone orientation to new staff
Ø Responsible for building and maintaining any scripts necessary to analyze the health of the systems
Skills/Experience
Ø Bachelors degree in a relevant field
Ø One+ years of experience in an IT Support role
Ø Experience installing operating systems, peripherals and related software
Ø Provide support for a 24-hour operation
Ø Windows XP/Windows 7, Server 2003/2008 experience
Ø Exchange and Outlook experience
Ø DNS and Active Directory experience
Ø Ability to manage TCP/IP networks in a Windows domain environment
Ø Scripting in a Windows environment experience
Ø Familiar with data backup and disaster recovery concepts
Ø PCI Compliance experience a plus
This position requires a candidate who is highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work with limited supervision. Successful candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including high degree of attention to detail and accurate processes, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay organized.
