We seek an exceptional Sr. SW Quality Engineer with a desire to work
on cutting-edge infrastructure applications deployed by Fortune 500
companies. We are looking for well-rounded Sr. SQEs with excellent
logic and problem-solving skills, able to demonstrate subject-matter
expertise, and have a drive to make a difference in the state of the
art. This position will work closely with a tight development team
to create high-performance enterprise server applications.

Must be "self-motivated" and capable of managing multiple priorities

Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments
Communicate with other management, developers, product managers and
technical support specialists on product issues

Work closely with Product Development to verify that the products
work as designed
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
industry experience is acceptable
8+ years proven work experience in software quality with a primary
focus in the following areas:
*Vocal - will standup for QA and bridge the gap between QA and Dev
*help bring change to SDLC processes
*5-8 years for a senior
*SMTP experience
*SQL or MySQL experience (they use both DBs)
*RedHat
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Working knowledge of Routing, DNS, SMTP, FTP, SSH and Telnet
Working knowledge of SQL or MySQL databases
Working knowledge of Linux (BSD, Solaris, or other *nix-like OS)
Working knowledge of Windows NT/2003/XP
Must be "self-motivated" as well as creative and efficient in
proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
Must be collaborative in driving decisions through SW Quality
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention
to detail
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong ability in creating test plans and in test/design and
development
Ability to work with Product Development to verify that the products
work as designed
Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to develop test cases as needed for new functionality as
well as regression testing
Ability to ensure that all issues found are reported in the defect
tracking system with the level of detail needed for engineering to
diagnose appropriately
Ability to maintain and run automated and performance tests and
report the results
Ability to work with Customer Support to research and reproduce
customer issues and create test cases for those issues
Maintain the test lab / test environment and verify adherence to
standards
Optional requirements:
Working knowledge in the area of Agile/Scrum Development/QA
practices
Experience testing multi-threaded applications
Experience with multiple MTA's (Exchange, Sendmail, PostFix, Exim,
etc)
Experience testing SMTP in a lab environment
Working knowledge using:
Python, Perl, Bash
Java, JUnit, Subversion
