ITT Visual Information Solutions is looking for a highly-motivated,
innovative software engineer to work in our Boulder office. This
position involves a long-term project to design and develop
visualization components as part of a satellite ground control system.
We are looking for a team member with solid software engineering skills
who is flexible and innovative in developing sophisticated web-based
tools. Some work in Aurora, Colorado is required. Occasional travel is
required.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
* 5-7+ years of experience in software development with Java
* Demonstrated expertise with J2EE technologies, including EJB,
JMS, MDB and servlets/JSP
* Thorough understanding of software engineering lifecycles and
processes
* Ability to learn new technologies and domains rapidly
* Excellent follow-up and organization skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or
equivalent
Additional Skills and Qualifications a Plus:

JNI experience
* Portal development experience
* Adobe Flex experience
* Web services experience
* Experience with SOA environments, especially BEA WebLogic
* C++ expertise
* Previous experience working on geographically distributed teams
* Previous experience working with satellite ground systems
* Strong knowledge in math and/or scientific discipline

project; active security clearances are a plus.
