Description of Duties:
Candidate will be responsible for patch management/maintenance and implementation plan for server/network infrastructure in an environment consisting of 300+ servers in a multi data center environment. This person will also be responsible for network management/monitoring implementation plan for server/network infrastructure monitoring.
Required Skills/Specific Job Duties:
This person will be a systems administrator able to function with little supervision or direction. He/she will have the following responsibilities:
1) Responsible for 3rd-level problem escalation.
2) Responsible for patch management and maintenance implementation plan for server/network infrastructure.
3) Responsible for production environment including release management of new code and infrastructure.
4) Responsible for network management/monitoring implementation plan for server/network infrastructure.
5) Responsible for infrastructure backups.
6) Assist with network infrastructure projects (5%)
7) Assist with server infrastructure projects (5%)
8) Assist with security infrastructure projects (5%)
9) Assist with other infrastructure projects, as assigned (5%)
10) Perform data updates as directed from the DBA (10%)
11) Help create process and procedures.
Also, this individual will have the following technical skill sets:
1) Windows Server 2xxx including clustering experience
2) Windows Active Directory, DNS
3) Microsoft Terminal Services, RemoteApp, AppV
4) VMWare ESXi 5.5+.
5) Symantec NetBackup and/or Veeam Backup.
6) Storage Area Network experience.
7) Microsoft System Center Suite (including SCCM and SCOM).
8) Cisco Call Manager experience.
9) Cisco Unified Contact Center Express experience a plus.
10) Experience working in mid to large-scale network/telecom infrastructures
11) Experience working in mid to large-scale data center infrastructures
12) Microsoft scripting experience (VB Script, PowerShell)
13) Linux experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidate should also possess an MCSE or other technical certifications that demonstrate excellent technical skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent Skills / Experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 3 - 5 years experience
* Experience with UNIX, PC/LAN, Web, and Client/Server environments is highly desirable.
* Experience with programming languages such as Visual Studio.NET, C#, JAVA, ASP, VB, HTML, OLAP, MS Analysis Services, MDX, or Microfocus COBOL is highly desirable.
* Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases and Stored Procedures is desirable.
* Education on formal software development methodologies is desirable. Certification in Software Development Technologies is preferred.
* Knowledge of computer systems, data analysis, and programming technologies, concepts, and techniques.
* Knowledge of software development standards and procedures.
* Ability to evaluate and interpret business client requirements, and to develop appropriate systems and/or application solutions.
* Ability to specify and develop computer programs using a range of programming languages.
* Exhibits follow through and accountability which serves as an example for other team members.
* Demonstrate understanding of applications and systems currently in use within Pulte Homes for functional area of focus.
* Must have a proven ability to take on challenging assignments, quickly gain knowledge, and credibility with customers and team members.
* Possesses expertise in one or more core business applications currently in use within Pulte Homes.
* Proven knowledge and work experience in large scale Software Development Life Cycle projects.
* Ability to be a strong, contributing team member is essential.
* Must be able to manage a heavy workload in a complex, demanding and rapidly changing environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills should be complemented with a solid business and technical background, and a keen interest in business operations and change impact.
* Able to predict customer needs, wants and nuances early in the development process and contribute towards addressing them prior to them being coded and tested.
* Strong analytical, problem identification and problem resolution skills.
* Proven and demonstrated breadth of technology expertise and skill levels
