Reporting to the Senior DBA Manager the role of the Senior Oracle Applications DBA is responsible for support of an active Oracle Applications R12 implementation and will provide post go-live support for Oracle EBS Instances and other mission-critical Oracle systems. The position has the responsibility for researching and troubleshooting application and database issues for the Oracle Applications teams including SCM, Finance, Operations and HR. Support extends to boundary systems such as OAM/OID, SOA, Siebel, Demantra, VCP and OBIEE.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
Ability to manage day to day support for production E-Business Suite.
Extensive knowledge of administering E-Business Suite.
Perform Oracle E-Business Suite installation, upgrades, patching, performance tuning and monitoring.
Develop and update documentation of all DBA processes and procedures.
Manage and configure Oracle Enterprise Manager for proactive monitoring and alerting.
Skilled using Oracle RMAN for backup and recovery.
Skilled cloning Oracle EBS including use of Oracle Rapid Clone utilities.
Experience supporting Weblogic.
Detailed understanding and experience supporting Sabrix, Demantra, VCP and SOA.
Knowledge of OAM, OIF and OID Identity management suite to support Single Signon.
Knowledge of E-Business Suite and Oracle database security.
Knowledge of Business Continuance Planning.
Ability to work on assigned tasks independently and assesses and executes with minimal direction.
Ability to make sound and logical systems judgments based primarily on own technical skills and experience gained from working at a major tech company.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience supporting PeopleSoft is a plus.
Understanding of current technologies and best practices related to Oracle products.
Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
Experience in a fast-paced high-tech environment.
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Must have 10+ years experience as an Application DBA for Oracle E-Business Suite
• Must have extensive contemporary experience with Oracle database, EBS, OBIEE, Solaris, and Linux
• Strong architecture background· Peoplesoft, Demantra, Sabrix, Revpro and Hyperion experience is preferred
