The Sr. System Engineer provides operational support and guidance to
other system engineers in the team to support the management and use
of EMC SAN and NAS storage solutions. Responsible for performing a
wide variety of daily storage management tasks as well as providing
recommendations for effective and efficient storage system use.
Responsibilities:
- Storage provisioning, zoning and maintaining availability in
Hosting Infrastructure. Provisions storage based on standardized
procedures as outlined by Storage team best practice documentation.
- Provide proactive recommendations to the team for improving
storage operations and/or effective use of SAN storage solutions.
- Actively contribute to the configuration, layout and performance
tuning of storage infrastructure. May be required to support and
train less experienced co-workers.
- Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance and necessary
data migration, as required. Performs other duties as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in the ECC Framework:
ECC Console, Performance Manager, StorageScope, and all collection
agents; Implements fixes for system issues.
- Monitors the technical environment to ensure it is problem free.
- Deploys new application components in accordance with practices
and standards.
- Fully document the ECC environment to include servers, software,
locations, and other details, as well as operational environment to
include servers, software, and locations.
- Assist in planning and Testing ECC 6.0 upgrades and patches.

Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for multiple types UNIX environments
- Work on client incidents as assigned in TriZetto ticketing
software, review system logs and research as required
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and monthly maintenance
weekend activities
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree, IBM AIX certification (Sun Solaris or Linux
certification a plus)
- 3-5 years of experience with AIX required; Solaris or Linux a plus
- Performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem determination,
shell script writing, Network Installation Manager (NIM), Cluster
Systems Manager (CSM), pSeries - LPAR configuration and support, IBM
Pseries system firmware updates, planning and implementing of
changes, HACMP configuration

Responsibilities:
- Manage a workload of implementation and upgrade support issues on
a timely basis
- Follow up with users to determine exact nature of related issue
- Provide status to external users and internal staff on a timely
basis
- Drive projects to completion within time and budget
- Provide support for the Hosted client's implementation and Upgrade
Healthweb environments
- Resolve technical issues, determine business requirements, and
define technical specifications
- Develop positive relationships with other teams and with clients

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years experience in an application support role within the
service provider industry
- Experience using a healthcare claim system, both from a GUI front
side, as well as using SQL to data query the databases from the back
end of the application
- Strong knowledge of web technology and web development tools and
languages
- Strong product knowledge of Facets 2.x, 3.x, or 4.x and Healthweb
preferred
- Strong technical aptitude, data analysis skills, and incident
troubleshooting skills
- Experience with database administration and system administration
preferred
- Excellent general industry knowledge and detailed knowledge of one
or more complex business area/process within the Healthcare/Managed
Care
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to multitask between multiple customers and their
incidents simultaneously
