Description
Provides server and related desktop management support for a global
environment. Responsible for bridging the technical dependencies between
the server and desktop teams in order to facilitate the migration to new
applications, platforms and technologies. Will provide support and
maintenance of server, storage and backup environments. Responds to work
requests regarding installation,configuration and maintenance of Active
Directory, Windows Server, Linux, Citrix, VMWare and NetBackup
environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build and maintain application and infrastructure servers.
Build and maintain virtualization, storage and backup environments.
Maintains and makes changes to Active Directory and Group Policy
environments.
Desktop management.
Deploys server security patches and software upgrades.
Monitors performance of server based hardware.
Qualifications
Experience in the desktop and server environments.
Experience with virtualization including VMWare (ESX, vSphere and VDI) and
Citrix (Pesentation Server and Xen Desktop).
Experience with MED-V and App-V.
Experience implementing and maintaining a Storage Area Network including
Netbackup and Brightstore environments.
Experience with Big Fix (network discovery and application push).
Application administration experience with Sharepoint and Email Extender
products.
Ability to create and run VB scripts.
