ZOLL Data Systems is a software development firm that provides
enterprise wide solutions to ambulance companies and fire
departments nationwide. Our Professional Services Organization
offers billable consulting services to our clients for both pre and
post implementation IT services.
We are looking to add a Senior level technician to our IT Services
group. In this role, you would be responsible for working with our
customers and our sales engineers to evaluate client IT
infrastructures and to scope out enhancements to bring their systems
up to specification for implementation. You would be resonsible for
ordering in hardware, configuring servers, and traveling to customer
sites to install the new equipment. You would also be responsible
for traveling to customer sites post implementation to perform
maintenance work and to consult with their IT staff on system issues
and upgrades. In this role, you would be our Senior Engineer and,
as such, you would be responsible for mentoring less experienced
engineers.
Requisite experience for this role includes 7+ years as a WAN
implementation specialist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
providing billable services to 3rd party clients. You should have
experience architecting complex LAN/WAN solutions and documenting
and implementing those systems. You should be technically advanced
in all of the various aspects of LAN/WAN systems including Microsoft
2000, MS SQL Server (2003 and 2005), Routers, Firewalls, Citrix
Servers, Clustering, and Virtual Machines. You should also have
expert knowledge of Windows 2003 Active Directory, DNS, and other
Microsoft networking protocols within the Windows Server family and
have in depth knowledge of IIS 6.0 in Windows 2003. Travel for this
position is estimated to be approximately 50%.
