Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
-Gain greater value/efficiencies in the delivery of "quality"

-Continually increase speed to market without reduction in quality.
-Exhibit flexibility and agility to effectively support multiple key
projects concurrently and respond rapidly to corporate needs.
-Find "new ways" of performing quality processes to support a fast

Desired Skills & Experience:
-Manual testing of back end applications, including both white box
and black box testing
-Use of automated testing tools
-Testing of .Net code
-JavaScript
-PL-SQL
-nUnit, log4net
-Experience working in an agile environment a huge plus
-Ecommerce experience desired, but not required
-Writing data-driven test cases using SQL queries.
-Iterative and/or test-driven development lifecycles.
-Proven ability to take completely undefined tasks, structure those
tasks, determine the constraints and find effective and optimal
solutions.
-Proven track record that demonstrates continual growth in
technical, business analysis and quality assurance skills.
-Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
-Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
-Capable of working independently as well as an effective team
member/leader.
-Minimum 4 years quality assurance experience.
-College Degree, Bachelor level or above, preferably in a technical
field

Our Boulder client seeks Software Test Engineer to formulate test plans
and test strategies, including setting up test environment, executing
tests, providing test status and detailed test reports, and assisting
development engineers in fault isolation and resolution. Ideal
candidate will have 3 to 5 years of responsibility in a product and/or
system testing environment, with an understanding of network storage
elements and principles. Ideally will have experience in testing and
debugging of software in advanced server environments.
Must have:
* Knowledge and hands-on implementation experience with Windows
O/S.
* Exposure to troubleshooting and interfacing with storage systems.
* Understanding of storage technologies such as RAID, replication,
snapshot techniques, and storage area networks.
* Hands-on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting experience.
Nice to have:
* Oracle – testing, database setup, test and administration;
* In-depth MS Exchange or MS SQL;
* Familiarity with SNMP and management frameworks such as HP

Needs for these opportunities would preferably be Ruby or Watir
experience, however, if someone has a scripting or automation
scripting background, they are a good candidate***
Ability to script is the number one requirement.
Below are nice to haves and help to describe the environment:
Testing
* Create test plans, test data sets and perform automated testing to
ensure all components of the system meet specifications.
* Work directly with the personnel and business partners to resolve
issues identified through the testing.
* Formalize test plans and implements testing procedures.
Other Duties
* Analyze, install and test commercial software for internal use.
* Write and maintain operational procedures and troubleshooting
procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.
Environment:
Company databases include Oracle 9i on Linux and Microsoft SQL
Server 2000 on Windows
Oracle 9i will migrate to 10g in 2007. Oracle databases directly
integrate with multiple applications including Oracle Financials,
Documentum, Policy Administration, Thunderhead and Informatica.
Databases also integrate with Microsoft SQL Server.
ASP, JAVA, ColdFusion, VB
Oracle/SQL experience
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or Oracle, Windows NT or Unix, HTML and
Java. Experience with Cold Fusion is desirable
J2EE enterprise applications, relational databases, business
applications using SQL, and Rational Unified Process
