The team collaborates with the broader Solaris organization and Oracle's customers to deliver best of breed software life-cycle management features and technology.

Responsibilities
Our mission in the Oracle Solaris OS deployment and system management team is to ensure customers a "wow" experience from the moment they look to deploy the Oracle Solaris OS. Our code is the first piece of software to get executed when a customer first receives media or downloads the product from Oracle. In addition to that, our core OS technologies and deployment tools are responsible for the success story of many data center deployment aspects including scalable mass deployment and system configuration, lifecycle management, as well as automation surrounding Solaris OS, and Solaris based Cloud deployments. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the core technology that is the engine and infrastructure for enterprise OS deployment & management for the Oracle Solaris OS as well as a wide array of related OS configuration and management tools that come out of the division.

Our main goal is to deliver an easy-to-deploy, and comprehensively manageable OS which can be cloned and/or migrated from one system to another quickly, securely, and systematically without degrading software performance and credibility. Innovation in the different functional areas above is key to unlocking this capability, which can then be leveraged in the enterprise cloud environment.

Ideal Candidates
We are looking for intelligent, motivated engineers with solid programming skills, who above all have a desire to learn new and disparate technologies across Solaris core OS, and who may not be tied to a particular programming area or language. Over the past years, our projects have been written in Python, C and Java, with some scripting in Perl and shell for infrastructure support. Well-rounded individuals who are intellectually curious about a wide array of topics should apply. Fundamentally, we believe that having a diverse team with a number of different backgrounds and interests will allow us to creatively find real solutions to our large set of real world problems.

Qualifications
- BS in CS or equivalent. Master is a plus.

The Oracle Solaris Core Cloud Engineering Team is focused on developing the software and technology that integrates core Solaris virtualization, networking, storage, and management features into an enterprise cloud computing platform for providing IaaS and higher level cloud services.


In your role as an Engineer in the Core Cloud Team, you will develop Solaris Cloud OS features that play a direct and key role in enabling Oracle's customers to quickly and easily deploy and manage enterprise cloud services.

We currently have an opening for a System Administrator to work in our Greenwood Village, Colorado office.    The Administrator will lead the definition, build and maintenance of the production infrastructure.  This includes server management, network connectivity, database support services, monitoring, automated fault management, and all provisioning automation.

Key Responsibilities:
*        Manage the production infrastructure

Technical and Business Skills:
*        Linux System Administration, Monitoring, Performance Tuning and Management, Networking and Network Utilities, Strong Scripting Knowledge, VMware, Tomcat, JSP, and PostgreSQL are the spectrum of technologies supported.

Preferred Skills:
*        Strong bash and other script programming

First Data - Middleware Architect

The IT Architect acts as a technical relationship manager between the Global Infrastructure Operations organization and client/product development and/or application development teams.

Review new and existing IT projects within the distributed systems environment, particularly focusing on the middleware environment and how it relates to all IT infrastructure/applications.  The outcome of this will provide procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural direction.

Collaborate with operationally focused end users as well as senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all infrastructure plans.

Epsilon - Database Administrator

About the Opportunity
The successful candidate must have 5+ years experience as a production Oracle DBA on UNIX/LINUX, with a proven track record in administrating large databases. Sr. Oracle DBA is expected to work in concert with DBA team members as well as other teams on supporting Oracle databases in a 24x7 environment, with rotating on-call duties after hours.

Responsibilities
Installation, configuration, migration and upgrading of Oracle databases, including Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)

DIRECTV - Data Center Principal Analyst

DIRECTV, the nation's leading and fastest growing Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and High Definition Television (HDTV) service provider is looking for a talented, energetic, and motivated IT Operations Principal 1 to join the Data Center Orchestration (DCO) Team.

The IT Operations Principal 1 candidate will work as a member of the Data Center Orchestration Services team. This team is responsible for providing support, maintenance, and enhancement services for selected products of the Infrastructure Applications department. The Operations Orchestration (OO) is the primary tool in the DIRECTV Data Center Automation (DCA) suite. The client utilizes DCO to automate the server provisioning and the change management process in DIRECTV's cloud computing and other data center environments.

Candidate will maintain and administer all aspects of the Data Center Orchestration. As an experienced specialist with strong technical and analytical skills, one will be providing orchestration services in 24x7 open system environments. Supporting technologies Operation Orchestration (OO), Network Automation (NA), Server Automation (SA), and Business Service Automation Essentials (BSAE) are necessary.
The candidate will spend time supporting the operations and work with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing operations. Knowledge of industry experience/knowledge to help mature the use of DCO in DIRECTV's environment is required.

The Data Center Orchestration Services Team operates on a 24x7x365 basis; on-call/off-hour may be required.

Essential Duties:
