We are currently looking for a Web Services Architect responsible for the overall architectural design, associated core development and ongoing support of strategically developed web applications. Essential Functions Summary:

·         Direct and participate in the design and development of Colorado Access' web services architecture with an emphasis on cross-platform database environments to effectively and efficiently support long-term business needs.

·         Provide usage and performance statistics of all web services on a monthly basis. Provide recommendations to ensure continued, successful and high-performance delivery of all web applications.

·         Ensure the delivery of stable solutions by maintaining rigorous testing and QA processes. Monitor the effectiveness of all development efforts through usage, performance, and error reporting as well as user satisfaction surveys. Establish and maintain development methodologies, tool-sets, and processes.

·         Provide continuous support and performance monitoring of our production websites and web services applications. Ensure that all processing is as efficient and automated as possible. Manage dependencies, errors, and notifications to ensure accurate and timely data processing.

·         Motivate and provide leadership and vision to subordinates and peers ensuring each employee is performing to the best of their ability.

·         Facilitate the appropriate processes and escalations to ensure enterprise database efforts are aligned with current business needs. Enforce data ownership by identifying company-wide departmental accountabilities and roles around corporate data. Ensure data integrity by maintaining these data ownership roles through stringent processes and security mechanisms.

·         Remain continuously aware of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and develop creative solutions to business needs. Ensure that solutions are agile, flexible, and scalable in order to extend their useful life as business and technical demands change.


Requirements/Experience:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other closely related field.   
Minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience in architecting web solutions using PHP, .NET or Java technologies
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an real-time ODS implementation
Extensive understanding of SOA architecture and real-time messaging technologies using Websphere Application Server/TIBCO/MQ
SQL Expertise in database technologies – Oracle/Microsoft/DB2/Sybase/MySql
Expertise in XML xpath queries and related XML data parsing
Expertise in Oracle XDB is a plus
Related experience or education may be substituted for part of the above requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the design, development, support and overall management of MPS Business Intelligence solutions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Works with business units to gather and understand requirements, rules and processes, identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and high-level reporting metric as inputs for the design and architecture of MPS business intelligence and data warehousing solutions

Brief Description of Role:
