Organizational Objective/Purpose:

The AMTDE Technology Team, part of the CTS (Client &Trading Solutions) organization supports both internal and external facing web portals (B2B) in support of various business partners including the Managed Accounts, Alternative Investments, Insurance & Annuities, Clearing, CSTOA and Mutual Funds business.  The AMTDE Technology Team utilizes a Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle environment to support both internally developed and 3rd Party integrated applications.  The team is responsible for the planning, development, installation, and implementation of multi-tier application architecture.  Work includes the development of interfaces, SSIS packages, scripts, SQL Objects and extracts for downstream systems.

Brief Description of Role:

This position will fulfill the role of subject matter expert (SME) for the provisioning, maintenance, and development of database & applications in support for numerous business-critical systems and processes.   The candidate will be providing support for problem analysis and interfacing with internal support personnel. 
• Responsible for supporting the SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales
• Creates prototypes, codes, tests, debugs and implements more complex software applications
• Monitors system performance, troubleshoots and resolves system failures, and plans system changes necessary to respond to changes in the computing hardware and software infrastructure
• Provide support and leadership in critical production support issue resolution.
• Ability to leverage internally developed ETL solution developed in Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008r2.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers and business analysts in conceptualizing, designing and developing new software applications and enhancements

Epsilon - Database Administrator

About the Opportunity
The successful candidate must have 5+ years experience as a production Oracle DBA on UNIX/LINUX, with a proven track record in administrating large databases. Sr. Oracle DBA is expected to work in concert with DBA team members as well as other teams on supporting Oracle databases in a 24x7 environment, with rotating on-call duties after hours.

EchoStar - Virtualization Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Datastore Engineer, Storage Engineer

EchoStar Technologies is looking for a highly motivated individual to take full ownership of the on-premise cloud environment of the EchoStar OTT Services division. The successful candidate for our Staff Virtualization Engineer will have at least 4 years deep experience with the VMWare cloud product suite and 10 years of large scale web services experience. We are looking for a VMWare product and related technologies subject matter expert. Although the environment is very VMware-centric, familiarity with virtualization technologies from other vendors is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

  *  Provide technical leadership to our OTT services team as we deploy and grow our consumer facing web services for the delivery of TV Everywhere in a highly virtualized environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  *  Demonstrated working proficiency in SAN fabric management (ISLs, utilization, zoning, masking, etc.)
  *  Deep knowledge of SAN hardware and software from Cisco, Brocade and/or Juniper fabric architectures.

  *  Maintain partnerships and leverage market technologies associated with SAN vendors, product enhancements and product roadmaps to determine how they can be beneficially applied to the company's enterprise
  *  Maintain current knowledge of storage-related trends and issues including current emerging technologies and best practices
  *  Develop and implement performance tuning strategies for all storage clusters providing trend analysis to all levels of the organization
  *  Provide capacity planning, performance analysis, develop disaster recovery plans, lead efforts towards storage consolidation and identify storage growth, manage configurations of storage media and storage management software.
  *  Provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to develop a roadmap that ensures that the current and planned technical backup solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives
  *  Develop, implement and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime and data protection
  *  Willingness to manage a 24x7x365 storage and backup environment including on-call rotation, weekend work, etc.
  *  Extensive experience in design and documentation of backup/restore strategies via enterprise class backup solutions for highly virtualized environments.
  *  Support storage in a VMware virtualization environment
  *  Ability to plan, document and effectively implement projects and systems
  *  Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with many deadlines and competing priorities
  *  Experience with Data Replication, Snap Shots and Virtualization Technology



Education/ Certification /Requirements:

  *  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems.
  *  Strong Supervisory skills a must.
  *  Vendor CERTS for EMC/Isilon, NetApp, HP/3PAR, or IBM are a plus
  *  5+ years' experience plan, design, configuration and support of large enterprise SAN's environments
  *  3+ years with any of EMC/Isilon, NetApp, and/or IBM SAN Storage
  *  3+ years performing capacity planning, performance analysis and development of data disaster recovery plans
  *  Able to communicate clearly with peers as well as management and provide technical leadership to more junior team members.
  *  Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities
  *  The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward
  *  Excellent communication, writing, meeting facilitation skills
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
