Job Summary:
Fourth of five levels of Software Engineer; advanced or principal level. JOB DUTIES

Provide technical management, advice, counsel and assistance for the root cause analysis of systems failures and related complex issues, including post mortems for issues; identify, analyze and resolve system deficiencies; assist and mentor technical support staff in the planning process to insure serviceability and reliability; act as an internal consultant and mentor for lower level staff in such areas as diagnostic techniques; problem identification and determination, and corrective procedures. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 5-7+ years progressive experience managing teams that are responsible for networks, security, server, data centers that support complex business environments.
Experience managing a team Engineers and Administrators in a complex technical environment.
Proficient in architecture design methodologies required to support high-availability environments with strict security requirements.
Must possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users.

Resort Technology Partners - Director

RTP is looking for a Director of RTP|ONE Development to lead the evolution of RTP's flagship enterprise software product suite!

This position will provide broad functional and technical expertise in designing and developing software applications primarily for the RTP|ONE product suite. This position will also provide application architecture direction; user interface/user experience leadership; setting coding standards and reviewing solutions against standards and ensuring best practice object oriented design is utilized. This is a hands-on development manager position with coding responsibility. In addition, this position will manage the C# development team (8-10 Sr. C# developers) responsible for designing, building and supporting RTP|ONE applications and solutions. This position will report to the VP of Software Development.

This position is located in our Avon, CO office.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
RTP is a market-leader providing software solutions to the resort and recreation market. Our enterprise application suite, RTP|ONE, is an n-tier application built using the .NET Framework in C#. It is a highly scalable solution leveraging SQL Server technology for data access and reporting (Microsoft Reporting Services) serving many of today's leading resort and recreation management companies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for design, development and delivery of RTP|ONE product development initiatives working closely with product management and across the rest of the development organization (DB Development, QA, Tech Doc, BA/PM).
•Review business and product requirements and analyze feasibility, approach and estimate development effort.
•Work closely with the VP of Development and Business Analyst/PM to direct day to day activities of the development lifecycle.
•Provide user experience/user interface leadership and guidance across all development efforts. Own user experience standards and consistent implementation across the product line.
•Identify and drive improvements in the software development process that facilitate quality, customer experience, schedule, and cost improvements.
•Review and sign off on all functional and technical designs for the RTP|ONE product offering.
•Act as primary point of escalation to support team for hosted product issues and work with QA and VP of Development to plan major and minor releases.
•Act as scrum master for the development teams and work with product owners to manage sprint iterations, priorities and effective delivery of solutions.
•Prototype solutions and take on development projects as appropriate.
•Efficiently manage and develop your direct reports: Hold regular status review, staff, and 1 on 1 meetings. Conduct performance reviews, work prioritization, and supervision of staff.
•Stay up to date on latest technology trends.
•Interface as appropriate with customers, sales and marketing, delivery and support and all areas of development to represent RTP's software products, derive application requirements, gain input on designs, and drive the best solutions possible into RTP's software products.
•Travel may be required for this position.


DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
•Previous development experience in a software company leading a team of developers and delivering a software product to market is required.
•Deep functional and technical product knowledge in enterprise integrated point of sale applications.
•Demonstrated track record of delivering product development projects to specification, on time.
•Delivery of at least one commercially successful software products.
•Strong leadership presence, ability to motivate and drive staff to get results with a positive and proactive leadership style. Can-do attitude.
•Comfortable in dynamic small company, start-up like environment.
•Experienced in structured product development practices, able to develop and enforce discipline in process.
•3+ years managing a development team.
•8+ years of deep technical experience in Microsoft .NET technologies.
•5+ years UI design experience.
•3+ years working in an agile software development methodology with Scrum Master certification and training
•Experience producing technical design documentation.
•Must have college degree in computer science or equivalent.
