EchoStar - Program Manager

The Test Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for ensuring the success of the software test effort on a project. The TPM coordinates the efforts of cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery of test according to plan.


The other PM is in our systems engineering group:

Manages multiple Systems Engineering Programs or Projects to ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with established PM Methodologies, specifications, budgets and schedules. Manages internal and external deliverables and end to end schedules. Management of programs also includes PM responsibility for maintenance and operations of assigned program area.

McKesson - Oracle Database Administrator

SystemCare is part of McKesson Managed Services which provides 24x7 technical support for Oracle databases, and Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems. Our customers are hospital IT departments for whom we either offer remote support of their in house systems, or we support as part of our Remote Hosting offering.


For this position we are looking for a strong Oracle DBA, who has provided technical support for multiple customers and has managed a large number of Oracle servers at any one time.


This is a remote positon that will be supporting the West Coast and therefore will need to work Wests Coast hours.

Position Description

Responsible for planning, coordinating and administering Oracle databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.



This individual will provide technical support and remote administration of Oracle 11g/10g/9i/8i databases, including RMAN backup and restore, creating test instances using DBCOPY, and configuring and resizing production data files in critical hospital production environments. Must periodically participate in 24/7 on-call rotation schedule. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work remotely with hospital IT staff and partner with UNIX/Linux remote systems administrators in resolving customer issues.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

* Experience supporting RAC environments and expanded ASM disk groups in live critical production environments.

* UNIX/Linux command line experience

* Experience producing and assessing AWR and ADDM performance monitoring reports.

* Detailed knowledge of database definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines and protection;

* Knowledge of BMC Patrol monitoring software a plus.

* Experience in large-scale critical production environments a plus

Minimum Requirements

6+ years experience in Oracle database administration including extensive knowledge of RAC environments

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

POSITION PURPOSE:

Oracle - Software Engineer

Oracle's Open Storage Systems Group is looking for experienced software engineers that also have experience with consumption of data path and management APIs from storage appliances.
