The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the testing of
applications and products within the Market Force Information system for
every environment within the Market Force organization.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Execute test cases against client and operational facing
software applications.
2. Identify, analyze, and report application defects (e.g. detail
steps to reproduce expected. and actual results) and assist with
resolution.
3. Write and execute test plans, test cases and document results.
4. Verify that corrective actions meet quality objectives (e.g.
verify resolutions and close bugs).
5. Assist in administrating defect tracking tool.
6. Write and execute SQL queries to assist in testing.
7. Automate testing when applicable.
8. Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of
important defects by working with developers to ensure the software
development process has an appropriate level of testing.
9. Responsible for the overall success of testing. Manages testing
tasks through final user acceptance testing.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

* At least 3-5 years minimum experience in Software Quality
Assurance or technical field

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or

* Experience developing and executing manual and automated test
suites, writing test plans, documenting test results.
* Experience with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems,
test design and execution
* Experience working with a variety of programming languages and
environments.
* Working knowledge of SDLC and some or all of the following
quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, user
interface, automated testing, boundary testing.
* Browser and server side test automation (Selenium) a plus

* Ability to write and execute SQL queries

* Ability to meet deadlines and schedules and be accountable for
defined tasks

* Ability to multitask in a fast, dynamic environment and
maintain a professional attitude with team members

* Working knowledge of change management or defect tracking
tools. Experience with Rally a plus.

EchoStar - Lead QA Engineer

Lead QA engineer who is responsible for testing, deploying, and managing various aspects of the EchoStar Conditional Access System.


Duties and Responsibilities

Involved in the validation of system software and hardware and deployment planning and execution with the goal of minimum to no downtime.
Will translate system requirements into detailed test cases and ensure proper execution of test campaigns.
Ready to respond to technical system issues, responsible for maintaining and improving lab and production system monitoring.
Will use application log and trace files to trend behaviors and look for existing and potential problems, and perform detailed data modeling and analysis to help drive future enhancements.
Will provide on-call support for production software issues and software maintenance. Will work with vendors to communicate production problems and suggest desired solutions.

An established application development team is seeking an individual with significant software development management experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage an established, extremely talented, development team charged with ongoing development, deployment, and support of multiple applications.
