RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for managing IT support and Help Desk services at
all Webroot sites.

* Provide timely reports highlighting problem areas, potential
problem areas, possible resolutions, trending and overall status of the
IT Support Services team.
* Act as liaison with other support groups to identify and monitor
impact on business areas.
* Responsible for user accounts, PDA services, new
hire/termination process, video conference, printers/copiers and general
hardware and software.



REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



* 7+ years overall technical, hands-on IT experience supporting
Windows-based hardware/software/peripherals

* 5+ years of recent experience managing an IT Helpdesk team.

* 3+ years of recent hands-on technical experience managing
Active Directory accounts, MS Office applications, desktop and laptop
hardware, mobile devices and licensing processes.

* Experience with Help Desk Reporting, including daily/weekly
activity and progress reports.

* Seeking someone with a strong "service-oriented mentality"

* Must have excellent communication / interpersonal skills and
willingness to learn

SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Manager role is primarily concerned with assuring that standards and procedures are established and adhered to throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for planned software changes and new software development. Responsible for overseeing and participating in the design and implementation of test programs and methodologies to ensure that HealthTrans products meet established requirements, specifications, design criteria, quality standards and that the products are ready for general distribution. Is accountable for the full spectrum of Quality Assurance activities for HealthTrans. Manages a business team comprised of quality analyst testers.
JOB DUTIES

· Management of direct reports including but not limited to:
o Staff selection, discipline and termination
o Supervise, plan, direct, and coordinate staff activities
o Provide regular feedback to staff on work accomplishments
o Budget management
o Conduct and complete performance appraisals according to due dates
o Set individual staff and team goals and objectives
o Monitor daily work activities
o Team-building
o Mentor, train, determine best practices
o Instruct staff on company policies and procedures
o Instruct staff on day-to-day priorities, problems, expectations

· Lead and direct strategic, complex projects, having responsibility for overall implementation and execution of projects against specified requirments and QA criteria. Oversee the QA phases and deliverables of projects as driven by business need.

· Defining and communicating the role, responsibilities and value of the QA function to project personnel.

· Ensure all team members' contributions to a project, are of the highest quality, done efficiently and cost-effectively, and adhere to project methodology . Includes the detailed review, feedback on, and sign-off of deliverables all testing documentation such as test plans, test cases, test summaries, and test scorecards.
· Providing time estimates and delivery dates for assigned tasks and delivering quality results within project deadlines.

· Identify defects and non-compliance issues and monitor to resolution.

· Identify, log and track issues related to the product quality.

· Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of project specific procedures.

· Ensure that all system enhancements and business processes for key functional business areas are implemented and tested through a formal QA process according to the requirements set forth by the business.

· Accountable for all matters related to Quality Assurance (QA).

· Report QA activities to Senior Management.

· Advise on matters of process, quality, policy and procedure.

· Develop and document test requirements, test plans, test documentation, test scripts, and test results.

· Execute test cases and perform regression testing. Define and administer a defect management process. Works with users, systems analysts, business analysts, designers and programmers to create/analyze various required project documents.

· Participates in walk-throughs, inspections, reviews and user groups

· Communicate and interact with business and technical teams on problems, changes, and enhancements that may impact data, workflow and/or functionality

· Review user documentation and training materials for accuracy

· Define and meet milestones and project deadlines. Prioritize and complete multiple, concurrent tasks.

· Proactively identify and communicate issues, concerns, and problems that affect project and product quality.

· Coordinate availability of test environments
· Evaluate software testing and other Quality related tools
· Creation and implementation of a formal QA methodology and process that is employed all QA activities

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with both a Business and IT focus

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

5 -7 years experience, a minimum of four years as a supervisor or manager in a QA environment
Strong business technical knowledge and an ability to express complex concepts in understandable terms
Deep understanding of how technology affects an organization and ability to link it to business processes
Sound judgment and ability to maintain discretion and confidential matters
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Team player, who is able to coach direct reports and others
Superb analysis and critical thinking skills

· Lead the development and maintenance of supporting design

· Lead the technical project planning and task estimation
efforts of the ETV UA development team.

· Work closely with the ETV Test Suite development efforts to

QUALIFICATIONS

· BS or MS degree in electrical engineering or computer
science and 7 or more years of technical experience.

proficiency in Java and embedded java (J2SE and J2ME) development for
real-time systems under Linux or similar OS.

· Excellent software system design and architecture skills.

· In-depth knowledge of the EBIF specification, the ETV AM
specification, and OCAP.

· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical
specifications.

· Proven ability to debug embedded systems.

· Knowledge of OpenCable system architectures including Object
Carousels, Legacy Out-of-Band communication, Advanced DSG, XAIT
structure and function, and OCAP applications desirable.

· Experience with data networks, networking protocols, video
systems, and RF networks desirable.

· Significant initiative that requires minimal direction and
