Business Intelligence Engineer
Expected Contributions to the Role
Responsible for development and coordination of Business Intelligence
reporting projects, including report development, Universe creation
and maintenance, as well as ETL development and maintenance. Day-to-
day completion of projects and maintenance of business intelligence
systems; Work collaboratively with Implementation and Project
Management teams to define client needs, requirements and project
timelines. Works under guidance of Sr. BI Engineer. Create and
maintain back-end reporting processes. Ensure day-to-day operational
integrity of the processes. Familiarity with to help produce a
development life cycle for reporting.
Expected Contributions to the Department
Ensure necessary systems are in place and functioning properly to
maximize accuracy and availability of reporting information; Serve as
subject matter expert and point of contact within Database Services
group for client reporting solutions; Responsible for ensuring
completion of associated projects within project deadlines; Actively
support Database Services' Goals and Objectives
Expected Contributions to the Corporation
Promote and facilitate the use of Business Intelligence systems as an
integral and valuable service offering within the InfoNow suite of
products; Provide Sales and Pre-Sales support throughout the RFP and
Sales cycles; Maintain and enhance reporting demos; Support corporate
revenue growth and profitability objectives; Desires and exhibits
ownership of end-to-end success of reporting activity.
Major Areas of Accountability that Support Contributions
• Complete tasks with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• Ongoing operational support to all reporting processes
• Daily data collection and processing
• Maintain daily loading of data logs into databases and
monitoring BI systems
• Accuracy and availability of reporting information

• Administration and Monitoring of business intelligence
systems
• Collaborate closely with multiple groups to define client
reporting solutions

The Position:
ServiceMagic in Golden is currently looking for a Senior level Java Developer who has experience developing functionality for J2EE Web sites and internal stand alone applications. This position will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and enhancing existing functionality as well as sustaining a high level of design interaction within the product development lifecycle providing technical guidance to business owners on proposed enhancements. Position will require some interaction with clients to build and maintain custom APIs

The individual hired for this position will be primarily responsible for promoting java and database application code from development environments, through our various QA environments and on to production plus management, maintenance and enhancement of our product enhancement/defect tracking system. These activities require you to interact with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring software as well as managing the processes and applications that are part of the routine development cycle. You will be required to utilize one-on-one consultancy with ServiceMagic server and application administrative staff as well as the Database and Java development team members. Also, you will assist in the maintenance of all aspects of the Servicemagic production applications. The position**s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Note that work is performed with little direct supervision and requires initiative and good judgment.
